IT Specialist - Norcross, GA

POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Specialist oversees IT support and related facility management for various DEUTZ locations. The IT Specialist is responsible for client computing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining telecommunication, web, and IT systems. Additionally, the role is accountable for working at the help desk to provide hardware and software support to internal and external end-users. The IT Specialist will liaise with our local IT team DCA and facility management and must be committed to the technical needs of DEUTZ businesses while demonstrating a profound knowledge of information technology systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The  IT Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, update, and repair PC equipment and provide essential OS software and TCPIP troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with different members of the IT Team to ensure all goals are met and that we are carrying out DEUTZ best practices
  • Receive, distribute, set up, and deploy new user workstations, accounts, and hardware equipment while maintaining ongoing relationships with vendors
  • Provide IT expertise to calls as they come in or respond to customers, using remote access systems to evaluate, diagnose and resolve network or communications systems issues or identify system bugs that need to be corrected
  • Ensures systems and workstations are compliant with organizational policies and security standards while building and maintaining emerging technology and media strategies

Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 20% depending on business needs.

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent is preferred but not required

5 years of client computing support, telephone system, and mobile device administration

1 year of experience in IT-related facility management

A+ (CompTIA) Certification

Demonstrated strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

Outstanding interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a professional demeanor, and sensitivity to other cultures

Extraordinary IT working knowledge of network, hardware administration technology, communications, and administration

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook

REQUIRED SKILLS:      

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to find solutions to complex IT operation errors and predict/ prevent problems before they happen
  • Strong IT Industry knowledge with the ability to understand IT principles, concepts, systems testing, security principles, and emerging internet and information technologies
  • Strong sense of creativity and innovative thinking to optimize and improve processes, workflows, and other IT-related areas of the job
  • An effective communicator in both large and small group settings, able to effectively and persuasively present information and liaise with third-party support of various technology vendors
  • Dynamic customer focus and result-driven attitude
  • Knowledge of the German language is a plus

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
