Shipping Clerk - Pendergrass, GA

POSITION SUMMARY:

Job involves all aspects of shipping, receiving, picking, packing, forklift operation, as well as other activities in selling parts and customer service.  Ability to manage inventory.  Some front and back counter parts operations. Maintaining a high-quality work environment and being a team player. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Trained in all phases of warehouse operation
  • Daily housekeeping of warehouse
  • Pick and Pack parts for customer orders
  • Receive and stock freight in hard locations
  • Process receiving documents; prepare bill of lading
  • Loading and unloading of LTL and small package carrier trucks
  • Abides by all safety rules and uses all appropriate safety equipment
  • Initiates good customer services
  • Abides by all regulations, policies and work procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Write and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
